Shelley shadowed my son when he was in preschool to assist in some behavioral issues stemming from a medical issue. Her attentive presence and commitment to understanding every facet of the school environment were invaluable. She played a pivotal role in uniting the teaching team, enabling us to collaboratively develop an effective plan tailored to my son's unique needs. I have known Shel for the past 8 years as a master educator. As the years have gone by, she became more and more drawn to supporting and consulting with educators and parents. Shel's warm heart and creative mind really speak to the families she works with. A strength that Shel brings is that she is a lifelong learner. Although Shelley only worked with our child for a short time, she understood him and his personality right off the bat, which was so important. Shel has offered me strategies on how to handle different behavior issues in our classroom. She has helped children with social skills and development by giving them tools to better communicate and form friendships.

We are grateful to have found Shel. We enlisted her help to do a classroom observation at our child’s preschool. She was able to be our eyes and ears in the classroom. Shel gave us a thorough debrief that considered the curriculum, routine and social-emotional aspects of the classroom and teachers. We hired Shel to accompany our almost five year old son with autism to Bowers Farm Camp. Having Shel attend camp with him allowed us to know that he had an extra set of eyes on him and that she would be able to jump in and help when needed. Shel was easy to work with, reliable, always on time and made sure before starting with our son that she understood what our goals and wishes were for him.
